I coach middle and senior leaders in schools to develop their leadership skills, drawing on over twenty years in primary education, many of them as an assistant head. This can take the form of individual coaching, or coaching for a whole leadership team, giving you space to think clearly, build confidence, and lead in a way that’s authentically yours.
I also design coaching programmes that train leaders to coach members of their own team. This builds a coaching culture across the school and supports distributed leadership, so the skills and confidence to lead don’t sit with one or two people, but are shared more widely.

I spent many of my years in education, developing teachers’ practice and without fail the one thing that transformed a good teacher into a brilliant teacher was focusing on their listening. You can plan the most exciting, innovative lesson but if you don’t actively listen to your pupils in the moment then you cannot expect deep, thoughtful learning to happen.
I deliver training that helps teachers and teaching assistants bring a coaching approach into the classroom. Developed through my own experience as both a teacher and a trained coach, this approach centres on listening — helping staff listen better, and helping children learn to listen better too. This shift creates richer dialogue and deeper learning, alongside more independent learners and less reliance on support staff.
Best for: Primary schools, secondary schools, SEMH provisions, further education colleges and other educational settings.
